What is a service Like?

We believe that everything we do in our Worship Service on Sunday mornings is an act of worship. Corporate singing, prayer, public reading of scripture, encouragement, fellowship, giving, celebrating Baptisms, taking the Lord’s Supper and the preaching of God’s Word is all considered worship. The purpose of worship is to Glorify God and to become spiritually formed as a follower of Jesus.

On a typical Sunday Morning, we begin our services with a call to worship brief welcome time followed by 20- 25 minutes of corporate singing led by a contemporary worship band of various musicians and instruments. We use contemporary music to express our praise, as well as well as hymns done in a contemporary way.

Our emphasis in our singing time is to encourage the gathered Church to magnify the worth of God, and the redemptive work of Jesus, as we join together to proclaim and cherish the truth about God.

After the singing, we have a sermon based on verses from a book in the Bible.

Every Sunday Morning after the sermon, we celebrate the communion. You do not have to be a member of our church to partake in communion. If you are a follower of Jesus and would like to participate, we would welcome you to do so. During communion, each row goes to the front to gather the elements. After you gather the elements you may take them individually. This is a time we set aside each week to remember that we have been reconciled to God through the life, sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus.

At the close of our worship services we provide an opportunity for people to receive prayer for whatever needs they may have or problems they may be facing.

The preaching, music, prayers, communion, and other service elements all work together to help us achieve our goals in corporate worship, which are to exalt God as we encounter him, respond to him and his Gospel and are empowered by him to live lives of service to others.
